Shopify decides where a banner is needed
Keep Shopify’s region settings on and remove its default banner. Crunch shows your banner only to visitors in the regions Shopify selects.
Choices go straight to Shopify
Each visitor’s choice is passed to Shopify’s Customer Privacy API. Shopify stores it and applies it to Shopify Pixels and checkout.
Crunch never stores visitor data

Does Crunch handle the legal side for me?
No. Crunch controls how your banner looks and reads, and uses Shopify’s Customer Privacy API to record each choice. Talk to a legal adviser about what your store needs.
Where are visitors’ choices stored?
With Shopify. Crunch keeps no consent database, and no data that identifies a visitor reaches our servers.
Does Crunch scan for cookies or block scripts?
No. It isn’t a cookie scanner, script blocker or consent database. Shopify applies each choice to Shopify Pixels and checkout, and the optional Consent Mode bridge passes it to Google tags you’ve added to your theme.
Will the banner show in checkout or customer accounts?
No. The banner appears on your online store pages only.
Do I need to edit my theme?
No. Switch on the Crunch app embed in your theme settings. Crunch never edits your theme, and Match my store asks for an optional read-only permission only when you use it.
